Write anywhere. Corrigo fixes it in place.
A tiny bubble appears next to any text field on your Mac — Slack, Mail, Chrome, Notes, your IDE. One click corrects grammar or rephrases your sentence, and puts it right back where you were typing.
Free to start · v0.1.0 beta · macOS 13 Ventura+ · Apple Silicon & Intel · Press ⌘⇧G anywhere
curl -fsSL https://corrigo.me/install.sh | sh
Recommended for the beta — installs without Gatekeeper warnings. If you download the DMG instead, allow it via System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway (beta builds aren't notarized by Apple yet).
I went to the store yesterday and bought two apples.
Live demo — click the bubble, then Replace. This is exactly what Corrigo does in every app.
Three seconds from typo to fixed
No copy-pasting into a chatbot. No switching windows. Your flow stays unbroken.
The bubble appears
Focus any text field with a few words in it and Corrigo's bubble shows up in the corner — system-wide, in native and web apps alike.
Click it — or press ⌘⇧G
Your text is sent for correction and rephrasing in parallel, so both tabs are ready in a moment. Nothing is ever sent while you type.
Replace in place
One click writes the fixed text back into the original field. Changed words are highlighted, and Undo brings the original back within 10 seconds.
Small app, sharp edges
Built native in Swift. Lives in your menu bar, idles under 1% CPU.
Works in every app
Uses the macOS Accessibility API to read and write text fields directly — Slack, Mail, Chrome, Notes, Word, VS Code and more.
Diff-highlighted corrections
See exactly what changed before you accept it. If your text is already correct, Corrigo says so instead of inventing edits.
Three rephrase tones
Neutral, Professional and Concise variants of your sentence — each one a single click away from replacing the original.
Privacy by design
Text leaves your Mac only when you click. Keys live in the macOS Keychain. Nothing is logged or stored — history stays in RAM.
Clipboard-safe fallback
For stubborn apps, Corrigo pastes via a simulated ⌘V — and restores your clipboard exactly as it was, every type included.
Any language in, same language out
Corrigo detects the language of your text and corrects it in that language. The app UI ships in English and Serbian.
The actual app, not a mockup
Rendered straight from Corrigo's real interface.

Questions, answered
Is my text sent somewhere while I type?
No. While you type, Corrigo only reads the field locally to know when to show the bubble. Text is sent to the AI provider only at the moment you click the bubble or press ⌘⇧G — never before, never in the background.
What does “bring your own key” mean?
You paste your own API key (e.g. from OpenAI) into Corrigo. Requests go directly from your Mac to the provider — there is no Corrigo server in between, and you pay the provider's rates with no markup. Keys are stored in the macOS Keychain.
How does the local LLM option work?
With a Pro license you can point Corrigo at a model running on your own machine via Ollama or LM Studio. Corrections then never leave your Mac at all — ideal for confidential work.
What happens when a yearly license expires?
Pro features (all providers, local LLM, unlimited corrections) pause until you renew, and the app keeps working on the Free plan — OpenAI integration with 30 corrections a day. A lifetime license never expires.
Why isn't Corrigo on the Mac App Store?
Reading and writing text in other apps requires the Accessibility permission, which sandboxed App Store apps can't use. Corrigo is distributed as a signed, notarized download instead — the same way Grammarly, Raycast and Alfred ship.
Which languages does it correct?
Any language the underlying model understands. Corrigo detects the language of your text automatically and instructs the model to respond in the same language. The app interface is available in English and Serbian.
